Freight Charges: In most cases your freight charge will be $7.95. This is automatically added to your order. If you are ordering a particularly large or heavy item you may be charged extra freight at cost. You will be asked if this is acceptable before the order is processed.
Delivery Time: We place our own orders with the various importers each Monday. Depending on when we receive your order, delivery time is between 2 – 8 days, but always as soon as we can.
Delivery Method: Most orders are sent by courier. In some cases, we will send small items to rural areas by NZ Post.
Receiving Orders: Our courier deliveries are ‘signature required’ meaning that if you are not present to receive your order, you may need to collect it from the nearest courier depot. When ordering, you may like to use your work address for deliveries if you are not home during the day. Deliveries are made only on weekdays. Please keep your receipt for electrical items.
Please inspect goods prior to signing the courier receipt. Signing the courier receipt is an acceptance that all items are present and in good order. We are unable to make any claim for damaged goods from our courier company if you have signed for them. In the event that goods are damaged, do not sign or accept the delivery after inspection. The courier is obliged to wait (for up to 10mins) while you check your items.
Tracking Orders: Please email us at any stage for an update on your order. We will need your name and your order confirmation number.
Returns: Items may be returned within a 10 day period for any reason. Returned goods must be in new condition and be in original packaging for a refund or credit to be processed. Postage or freight costs cannot be reimbursed.
Guarantees: All manufacturers’ guarantees will be honoured. Faulty product must be returned to us with a copy of original receipt. If the problem is a result of a manufacturers fault, we will repair or replace the item as quickly as possible. Freight costs cannot be reimbursed.
Product Queries: Please email us with any questions you may have about product suitability or availability. The Hippo team has excellent product knowledge and are happy to help you with your order.
Credit: All educational institutions may order products on invoice payable on the 20th of the following month. If your order is likely to exceed $200, please contact us for approval. Orders placed by individuals must be prepaid by credit card, bank deposit or cheque.
